Why Join the Rotary Club of Patong Beach?

 
An engaged, enthusiastic membership committed to service above self is the essence of Rotary. Without members, Rotary would not exist, and much good in our community and around the world would not be accomplished. At the heart of Rotary are its members.
Membership will appeal to those who want to join a community of business and professional people who are at a stage in life where they want to get involved in and give back to community. Membership in Rotary offers an opportunity to contribute to worthy community projects with one’s time and financial resources. It offers an opportunity to network with like-minded people. The fellowship of Rotary is rewarding. The networking with like-minded business and professional people will enhance your life, and may enhance your own business as a by-product.

Our club accepts new members by invitation only. We have an individual membership as well as a corporate membership program.
 
Applicants we believe are most likely to get the most out of our club and stay the longest:
 
  1. Business, professional and community leaders who want to contribute personally, through time and / or money, to the local and global community.
  2. Those want to build on their Phuket connectedness and have the ability (financially, organizationally or through connections) to make a difference.
Applicants who have the time for:
  • Weekly lunches
  • Volunteering on projects in the community
  • Contributing to at least one committee (some scheduled evenings, others daytime)
  • Attending fellowship events
And, have the financial resources:
  • Pay the admission fee (one-time payment) of THB 10,000 for an individual and 15,000 for each corporate member. The second family member does not have to pay the admission fee
  • To pay annual dues THB 9.000.00 (corporate members 25,000.00 for 2 members). The annual dues for the family members are full dues for the first family member and reduced dues at 50% for the second family member.
  • To pay for lunches at THB 500 per lunch (beverages excluded)
  • To contribute financially to club projects
  • To attend club Fellowship events (say minimum about THB 7,500 per year)
  • All members are encouraged to contribute monthly or annually in amounts according to their circumstances to either or both Foundations which the club supports. Funds flowing back from these Foundations are the major source of our club's funding for the great work we do around the world.
