Friends and Fellow Rotarians,
Tonight we have the opportunity to explore a question that concerns all of us: How do we live longer—and stay healthy while doing it?
We often hear a lot about lifespan. But increasingly, science is focused on something even more important: healthspan—the years of life we spend active, independent, and able to enjoy the things that matter most.
To help us think about that question, we’re fortunate to welcome Dr. Anthony Perillo.
Since moving to Asia in 1997, Dr. Perillo has worked at the forefront of preventive and lifestyle medicine. His roles have included Clinic Director of the Integrated Medicine Institute in Hong Kong, Director of Health and Wellness at Chiva-Som International Health Resort in Hua Hin, and Chief Wellness Officer of the Holistic Medical Group here in Bangkok.
Over the course of his career, he has helped thousands of people better understand the real drivers of healthy aging.
This evening he’ll share practical insights into why aging is usually a gradual process—not a sudden decline—and what we can do to preserve strength, mobility, and vitality as the years go by.
He’ll also touch on an issue many of you may have heard about recently: the new generation of GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic and Wegovy—explaining how they work and how they may fit into a broader strategy for managing obesity, diabetes, and metabolic health.
Please join me in welcoming Dr. Anthony Perillo, who will help us think about how we can all live longer—and live better.
