Thought of the Week:

Rotary provides training at all levels so that those who have been selected for leadership positions have the opportunity to learn and apply leadership principles to their jobs.

Ron D. Burton

Dear Fellow Members & Friends,

We just returned from Hua Hin attending the District 3330 DTA event for the incoming Board Members and Chairs. Really a must have training for those who have been selected for leadership position.

Everyone enjoyed especially the Hawaiian themed party was a great time for all to have. Well done Hua Hin! 👍

A special Thank you goes to our trainers AG Walter, PP Sam & PP David who're in action to great extend training all English speaking participants.

Very proud of you! 👍

Another visit from the US dentist delegation lead by Steve Bender just finished with many lucky kids getting a full check-up and fixing of dental problems!

Also a dental kit & hygiene training program was offered for a better understanding how important dental care is for a better life.

May is designated as "Youth Service Month"; the idea is to focus on all Rotary activities that support the development of young people. Rotary International's structured programs for Youth Service are: Interact, Rotaract,    Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and Youth Exchange.

Our Project Chair Dr. Peter is coordinating with the Ban Ya LC a confirmed date for our proposed 'Fruit Tree planting' exercise fulfilling the wish of outgoing RI President
Ian H.S. Riseley. Shall revert once the date is fixed.

On a personal note, I am away from May 9 till mid June in the USA attending my god daughters graduation followed by her wedding and my mother-in-law 80th birthday. Busy time!

Last but not least, please join us at the forthcoming Dinner out organized by Stewart. Look forward seeing you there.

Have great week and make it a productive one.

If you're not familiar with the work of Steven Wright, he's the famous erudite scientist (and comedian)
who once said:
"I woke up one morning, and all of my stuff had been stolen and replaced by exact duplicates."

He sees things differently than most of us do, to our amazement  and amusement. Here are some of his gems:

1.- I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
2 - Borrow money from pessimists -- they don't expect it back.
3 - Half the people you know are below average.
4 - 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
5 - 82.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
6 - A conscience is what hurts when all your other parts feel so good.
7 - A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
8 - If you want the rainbow, you got to put up with the rain.
9 - All those who believe in psychokinesis, raise my hand.
10 - The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
11 - I almost had a psychic girlfriend,... but she left me before we met.
12 - OK, so what's the speed of dark?
13 - How do you know when you're out of invisible ink?
14 - If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked              something.
15 - Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
