"Sometimes the magic works"
Last Saturday night's Rotary White Charity Event at Outrigger Laguna was indeed magical -- a coincidence of all things that make a party wonderful and a Charity Gala successful.
The evening began with a prismatic sunset, enjoyed beach side by the fifty charitable guests all dressed in White. As the stemware was drained, the sunset dimmed, and the music paused, all guests ambled into the elegant white dining room to enjoy many well-presented pairings of superb food, high quality music and libations. -- and enjoy we did, beyond our dreams.
And, as if in a dream, as coffee was being poured, the evening became even more wonderful.
The music went from classical background piano to a foreground showcase of some upbeat cover tunes which grandly perked all of our attention towards the reason for the Night -- to raise some money for Rotary Club of Patong Beach in their projects helping local disadvantaged children -- Clean Water for Kids & Water Safety for Kids.
The most wonderful part was that our fundraising goals were actually exceeded by generous and warm-hearted people having a good time. The Guests were eager to buy vouchers and products donated by charitable local businesses. (Please see the list and Please praise them by your patronage.)
The consummating wonderful part of the evening began when Pjae Stanley and Legend Music became legendary.
The music was a celebration of what a profound privilege and pleasure it is to better some needy children's lives. Pjae enriched us all deeply with her peerless gifts that moved the bodies and souls of all those present -- she and her backup had us all awestruck for the better part of three hours with music that we all love -- it just doesn't get any better than that.
Much like a final "bracer", as the light were to come up, we were treated to a virtuoso piece of opera sung by Ivan whose keyboard had richly supported the whole musical event.
