SAA for today PP Andy welcomed all members and visitors to a sit-down Thai 
dinner, prepared superbly by the Millenium Hotel.
He then asked our newly anointed president Jonathan, to open the meeting with the first gong of the Rotary Year and a speech to start off:
P. Jonathan: A little of Who Am I:
First visit to Phuket in 2004, and fell in love with the Thai spirit of sharing and helping during the Tsunami disaster, and then returned here in 2005.
Background hobby / vocation and duties included Advertising and designing, volunteering as a community policeman, and also a reserve in the Royal Artillery Army in UK.
Did some real estate in Phuket, and then managed Helicam.asia Aerial photography and video company, and presently the Juristic person & manager of a condominium in Patong.
Goals for the new RC year: to increase membership and to actively engage all members in our club.
Next was Sec Walter: Asked all members to update their details on Club Runner.
PI Rtn Jaspal: Goal is to make sure RCoPB is more recognized and active in Social and News media.
PE Dr. Johan: The swimming project is from Monday the 8th of July to the 10th of July at the Naina Resort in Patong, from 1415 hrs to 1615 hrs. All are requested to join in and help out. Also, we will try and get other RCs of Phuket to be involved in future.
PP Best: Scholarships are on course.
We need new intakes as some of the students have graduated.
Also responsible for RYLA and we will be sending 6 kids (ages 13-16) for a Youth Exchange program.
PP Sam: Membership: Our aim is to increase quality members, and with that he introduced Frank Suenneke, our new member, to the club.
Frank and his wife acknowledged the welcomes.
PP Sam: Foundation Chair: All Rotarians are encouraged to donate 100 USD (EREY) to support the foundation and funds for projects worldwide.
A fun and light meeting concluded with Happy Hundreds and a P. Jonathan gong.

A recently married wife sent the following note complaining about her husband:
Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as: Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as: NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and House cleaning 2.6 crashes the system. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.0 to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do?

Dear Desperate,
First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system
Please enter command: I thought you loved me.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the application Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources).
In addition, please do not attempt to re-install the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory performance. We recommend: Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.
