Rotary Club of Patong Beach Donates 1.8 million Baht to Patong Hospital on 3 July 2018

 

Rotary Club President Andreas Becker proudly presents the Rotary International the 2017-18 President’s Grant of 1.8 million Baht to Vice Governor of Phuket Province Snith Sriwihok for critical hospital equipment.

 

The President’s Grant is funded by donations from the Rotary Club of Patong Beach in partnership with donations from RC of Bargteheide, Germany; RC of Shouson Hill, Hong Kong, and Rotary Club of Patong Beach Donates 1.8 million Baht to Patong Hospital on 3 July 2018

RC of Patong Beach President Andy Becker selected Patong Hospital as the focus for his President’s Project upon taking on the leadership role in July 2017.
 
RC of Patong Beach has a proud history of 13 years supporting Patong Hospital with donations totalling 5 million Baht.
 
The Rotary relationship with Patong Hospital began after the 2004 Tsunami with the donation 2 million Baht to purchase an ambulance. The Rotary of Patong Beach continued their support of Patong Hospital in 2015 by updating the ambulance with the latest in diagnostic and emergency patient support equipment.
 
Today, the Rotary Club provided 1.8 million Baht to purchase purchased total of 14 items which included 5 hospital beds, medical dishwasher, 9 infusion bags, a new computer and other much-needed items.
 
Patong Hospital
 
One of four government hospitals in Phuket, Patong Hospital is a 100-bed government service facility in Patong Beach which is now 105 beds. This hospital has been serving patients since 1986 and provides a variety of treatments and services to individuals and families in the local area and from other countries.
 
Patients can come to the Patong Hospital for emergency care or to use the dental clinic. Other services include infant and child care, physical exams and check-ups, and physical therapy. Thai traditional herbal massage is also available on site. See also our published Photo Album
