Friday April 21 the Safer Road Foundation which was supported by Rotary in this project, officially handed over the red-light cameras installed in Phuket.
The main purpose of these cameras is to change bad driving behavior in Phuket and scare people into obeying traffic laws. This is one of the policies to propel Phuket toward Smart City status as well. These will prove to be very helpful and save a lot of time for police officers, said Governor Chokchai in February when the project was launched.

Phuket is officially the worst province in the country for deaths and injuries resulting from road accidents.
This 16 million Baht project hopefully helps to make our roads safer and the rotary Club of Patong Beach is proud being able to contribute saving life.
