Come join a Rotary Service Project to paint some of the children's rooms at the Life Home Project in Phuket. The painting will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with lunch provided. The rooms will be prepared and primed before we arrive, so it will be an easy and fun painting project. No previous painting experience or painting skills are necessary. We will be using low VOC water-based paint for health and easy cleanup. The board has approved the purchase of the paint, brushes, and lunch for this project. The Rotary Club of Patong Beach has helped the Life Home Project since its founding in 2002. It will be a great chance for us to return and reengage with this worthy Phuket home for children that are impacted by HIV. Here is some more information about Life Home Project and what they do: In recognizing the current needs of the HIV-positive community in Phuket, The Life Home Project Foundation is focused on helping HIV-positive children and AIDS-affected children. Our children’s home, permitted by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, fosters children from 1 year old to 17 years old. Our operations were awarded for the work over several consecutive years. We offer these children a warm shelter, provide a caring environment and higher quality of life than many would otherwise have in their homes with HIV-infected or AIDS affected family members. The Life Home Project Foundation’s educational scholarship program supports the children currently living in the project as well as those who have lived at the project and are now old enough to be living in the community. In addition, our daycare service for children of HIV affected families allows HIV-infected parents to earn a living during the day while their children are being cared for. The young children are given nutritious meals, taught child development exercises and given a general education to prepare them for kindergarten. The Life Home Project Foundation has adapted to the changing needs of HIV-affected individuals. We must continue to support and acclimate our programs to cater to the needs of the HIV/AIDS community, while continuously helping the children currently housed at the project, many of whom have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS, to ensure a positive future for them.

Your health is important and an annual health check-up can give you the confidence that all is well monitored and taken care of. Luckily we live on an island with many options of hospital care...though these options are not easy to compare and even choosing the right program level at your preferred hospital could need some medial explanation. Is the premium program worth it for me? What do i get for it? How does my special medical history should be considered? Dr. Chaiwat and James Cawood from the Bangkok Hospital Siriroj will explain their Health Check program, what the tests are aiming for, and which personal medical history demand certain tests. Special Italian 3-course dinner: 500 THB
