President's Message
As I begin my year of Presidency for the Rotary year 2024-2025, I would firstly like to thank our club members for giving me the opportunity, and privilege to serve our club alongside a passionate and motivated group of board members. I believe the success of our club rests with the collective strengths of each individual member.
We are honored to follow the tireless leadership of PP Walter and his team who ensured our club continues to show strength financially, administratively and with increased membership. Thank you for your remarkable service.
Rotary International President, Dr. Stephanie Urchick, has chosen the theme, The Magic of Rotary, and she has called on members to “recognize and amplify the organization's power to save lives.” In her vision statement, Dr. Urchick acknowledges, “There’s magic as people unite to create sustainable change”. We recognize our ability to make change when we utilize the synergic energy of our club members working together with a common goal.
District Governor Jakchai Visutthakul’s personal motto for leading our District 3330 in 2024-2025 is “Take it Easy”, while keeping the four strategic priorities at the forefront of what we do - These are to, increase our impact; expand our reach; enhance participant engagement and increase our ability to adapt. Join me in accepting this appeal.
Moving forward, we aim to build on the club’s accomplishments and embrace change in order we may grow to face future challenges while serving our community. We will continue with our Save a Child Swim program, Lenses for Learning and Scholarships and will be adding new projects as well.
As Rotarians, we constantly seek out ways to support sustainable projects and disadvantaged individuals, by raising funds and rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck in to make things happen - Service above Self. This is built on the foundation of continuing to strengthen established relationships and forging new partnerships for worthy causes.
Our club membership is proudly inclusive of 20 different nationalities whose skill set and friendship embodies the diversity and strength of our club. This is no better said than in a quote from Former US Senator, Barbara Mikulski, “Each one of us can make a difference. Together we make change.”
Let us not forget the Rotary Four Way Test, both personally and professionally, as we work together to make a difference in the lives of others.
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
And lastly, I am a champion of being kind. To me, true kindness lies within the act of giving without the expectation of something in return.
Yours in Service
